In the early 1960s, however, Schwinn came out with the Stingray with small 20 inch diameter wheels, high handlebars and a banana seat.
While Schwinn often had a reputation for building heavy bikes for kids, the Paramount line had a reputation for finely crafted, relatively light road bikes.
