Dating someone with kids pro and cons
When it happens at work, you have a big decision to make. You’ll get to grab lunch together, maybe carpool to work together and take advantage of those extra moments that you would miss out on if you and your partner worked in separate offices.
The first thing you need to understand when dating someone with kids is that you have to build trust.
In the beginning, it might be gets it, but over time you might end up longing for a little more separation between your two lives.
Again, in the beginning when you want to spend as much time together as possible, it might be amazing to go to work together, get lunch together and then go home together; but once you have been doing it for months (even years), you might feel differently.
Are you able to see them getting into a defensive position? Do they give you straight answers and are confident about their new relationship with you? If you are dating someone with kids and you constantly bring it up, you are risking your entire relationship. Especially when they have just went through a difficult break up or a divorce.
They need some time to take it easy and not being pushed.
Men and women with children are dating because they want to move on with their lives. They are not dating you because they want to feel free, or get revenge.
